I'm not sure what Honda gets out of it. Nissan back in the 70's- 90's? Sure. They were bold, took chances, raced, won, were exciting and innovative. Nissan since Ghosn? They suck. They're dead. Their spirit crushed. Plagued by bad press and poorwe cars.

BTW that dude who killed Chrysler (again, for the third or so time) by creating Stellantis? That was Ghosn's protege.

Honda is leasing the market battling Toyota but with better products right now. I just don't see what Honda would get from any baggage like Nissan.

They would get Nissan’s production facilities and logistics. It is too bad they can’t resurrect the 70’s 80’s engineering.

Not sure Honda needs to expand capacity and those facilities are saddled with cultural issues, processes, Union contracts, and debt. These kinda of mergers rarely work out. Nissan only survives on offloading product via financing sub par loans and sub par products that generate revenue in the service department.
