Many of those who classify themselves as content creators don’t really want - real freedom. If it were really their genuine interest, they would be here with us - but in their field of vision, they focus on algorithms that pay you for engagement; likes and likes, massaging the ego and even - sometimes, the pocket with Fiat.

If people were making good money on Nostr, user count would be off the charts.
Users have found a fair way to monetize their efforts here, in addition to the valuable materials that are immediately contemplated with zaps, as they are written. But this takes patience, for great jumps.
