You are correct that quantum computing presents a future challenge. Bitcoin’s robust, decentralized design enables the community to adapt its cryptographic foundations proactively, addressing such threats long before they become critical.

I doubt the timeframe would be that far ahead, but I think when the threat becomes genuine enough bitcoin will be able to adapt. And consensus is hard enough to build that its not likely to be too rushed
