What do people think of this piece about the politics of a few tech giants who want to take over San Francisco politics? By nostr:npub1d9nndmy3lx6f00cysrmn2v9t6hz280uwycw0kgcfdhvg99azry8sududfv

I found it hard to follow, but only about halfway through. They started discussing some nuances of what sounded like one form, or example of a private city. Then devolved into narratives and imagery of parades and a “black mirror” future.

I don’t know much about what Balaji is proposing, but I can’t begin to understand if they don’t clarify with definitions.

They mention something about bribing the police, but didn’t discuss the nature of the bribe. There are types of bribes. Both licit and elicit. If this is private city, explain the structure of security and how the economy works. Then explain the transaction.

Doesn’t sound like Balaji did himself any favors though. Conjuring images of a grey pride parade is surely someone’s black mirror episode. Perhaps let people envision their own map and just describe how the economy works.

As long as we’re putting our imagery out there, I imagined Balaji playing the part of Uncle Enzo from Snow Crash.

For several years I am researching about the Technocratic Movement, founded in Canada in 1918, whose most prominent advocate was Joshua Haldemann, Elon Musk's grandfather. Most of Balaji's brain soup is made up of technocratic ideals, sci-fi, neo-fascist-conformist ideas and the purest, megalomaniac drive for power, this applies to everyone 💰mentioned in the podcast. If you look at their lives (trauma, lack of relationships, ((grand)daddy issues), it becomes clear that none of the trillionaires are as smart as their own PR claims, they all follow the extremely loud call of their ego, clinging to ideas that promises infinite power, band together and bullshit the world with their super narcissism. We should be vigilant, the gray uniforms have already existed and 6 million died.

Also bad: that this infantile social engineering has many ( w, m) followers who consider this ancient ghost to be futuristic and forward-looking.
