GM Edge geometry is incredibly important with regard to the usability of your knife. This bird and trout knife came with a 5° bevel and 25° per side edge angle from factory. It was almost unusable. I just reprofiled it to 12.5° per side edge angle and now its firkin awesome! Bonus of doing this is a little counter intuitive, your edge retention will actually increase..
