I mostly agree with you.

I would like to add an exception:

Never give up on family and best friends.

When someone is depressed for example, they might not be making progress, but spending energy trying to help them is not necessarily 'wasted', and can make the difference for them.

I love the empathy in this reply. And I agree with you both. I’ve lost friends due to envy, and that is super hurtful. I definitely don’t want to betray myself and my own power just to make them more comfortable though. Better to let them go with no hard feelings on my side. GM! 🌞
