I do not hesitate to tell people that I believe in God. I fear God. I know how much He hates sin, and I am a terrible sinner. God lets us experience sin, in hopes that we might learn to hate it, too. He sent His only Son to die for us, if we can accept Him.
It takes humility to believe in God, not pride.
