GrapheneOS is now based on Android 14. Most of our changes have been ported already but we still have a lot more porting work to do. It's all going to need to be tested before we can get it all merged, and then we can start making public experimental releases based on 14.

It should happen in under 2 weeks and we'll try to get it out as soon as possible. Don't forget to expect after internal testing to go through experimental releases, followed by an alpha then beta channel release being mindful we only had very limited access to the sources before October 4th.

If one installs google camera on graphene (pixel 8) and disables network access, do the new features they announced still work?

Not having one on hand I can't confirm but if the 6th and 7th Gen are anything to go by any in camera feature will work.

Features requiring Google Photos integration and usage however will depend on sandboxed Play Services.
