It's hard to sleep when your chinese overlords are stomping & screaming in chinese. I never complain but i'm in so much pain & I can't sleep. All I want to do is scream PEACE IN ENGLISH!

I am giving my opinion on foreigners who move here then have children. Teach your children english & don't speak your "native language" you moved to America for a better life right otherwise you coulda stayed where you were at. If you teach ur kid partial english & your own language by the time he's in kindergarden je will be considered a retard excuse me sensitive people challenged mentally & they will put him in special ed. Your kid will grow up having a hard time to make friends all because you couldn't give up what you left behind.

Don't come to America & try to change US you came here to embrace US so change yourself & transition to your new enviroment.

I sympathize with your pain. But it seems your overlords are doing quite well without English, no?

They know english because they learned it before they came here. They use it when they feel they have to but their kids oh well tough life for them. Public school is just like the streets unforgiving.

That's cool. I know that things are different in different states. There are about 50 languages spoken in the area where I was born (greater Sacramento Valley region). Many of these families never learn English. Most do better here then my family did. 🤷‍♂️

I think that many immigrants come here with more money than the English speaking population. Others figure out how to earn it really fast.

In these communities, it's reasonable to never learn English.

But if they are coming poor, amd without a connection to a larger non-english speaking community, then it's probably in their best interest to learn English. But they probably know that already.

The reason they do better when they come here is because they get the foreigner's pass I like to call it. The pass consist of welfare but not your regular SSI, automatic business loan approval, auto tax exempt approval, & easier for them to file bankrupcy if all the above still fails for them. My russian neighbors they came here had 30 children (swear to god still trying to comprehend how) basically milked the SSI/WIC got auto approved for a bank loan to open up 2 bagel stores.

They are multi-millionaires idk what else they do but their mansion is the biggest in the area with 18 cars in their custom driveway & multi garage. You can be successful when you bypass all the hoops banks make you do when your a citizen born & raised here.

Also, compare that "free" money to the bailouts corporations, banks, and billionaires have received.

The "other" you want to focus on is not the problem. Corruption within government is to blame, and no, other billionaires taking control of it will not fix the swamp.

I sympathized with you after the first paragraph, scratched my head after the second and had a WTF moment by the end of the third.

I am in 100% agreement with about 90% of what you said. Yes, you should learn the native language of your new home, it’s the respectful thing to do.

However, I would never ask someone to completely detach themselves from their own culture because I don’t understand it.
