The new Octavia IV is such an awful car we're giving it back and rather will buy some old car and run it until it breaks.
I'm searching around, discussing cars around 5000€ with my brother.
So far we found a tank.

Oh, what a shame! We could've hated them together!
Srsly, infotainment is pure shit, like unbelievably badly written. Also that stop system stops motor when you're just about to drive into a crossroad, car crash system yells you're experiencing crash when car in front turns and you go by and lane assistant yells if you don't drive in the middle between lanes, which is super annoying and distracting on a busy highway. Also apple car breaks in the middle of a call, just to hang call you have to touch the screen (god preserve if you need navigation at that moment) and higher guy has no chance to fit there with right knee. Then there's that "new car" smell, which was making us sick for the first month
When I lift buttons to close windows they jump down. But they didn't do it before. Nav isn't displayed behind the wheel, because it doesn't work properly with apple, but it worked the first time. Then there's a boot, which is stupid heavy to open.
My brother has old Octavia, was hyped about this and then gave it back like "everything feels way chaper and I hate it."

Did I mention the parking assistant sometimes doesn't turn on, like when I have a call? Or radio mutes when I open Plebstr on my phone, wtf? Or how stupid ignorant are the wipers when it drizzles? It should be half the price. The car. Is. Shit. 
AND THEN THERE'S THE USERS. GOD PRESERVE THEY BOTH GOT INSIDE TOGETHER, ONE HAD PIXEL AND OTHER IPHONE. IT'S NOT MADE TO DEAL WITH THIS MADNESS.
It shows his chosen interface, but my apps. But his Spotify. Which cannot be changed. We ended up deleting his user and phone completely from the car. I had no chance to use my car and drive him. And satnav is optional extra and expensive. Also changing main user is impossible. 
Frankly I'm surprised the front wheels turn in the same direction.
ALSO LOCKING THE CAR TAKES LONGER THAN IN THE BEGINNING! YOU CLOSE AND PUSH AND PUSH FOR LIKE FIVE SECONDS AND THEN IT LOCKS
ALSO THE STOP SYSTEM TORTURES COLD ENGINE ON EVERY CROSSROAD, JUST TO DRIVE OUT YOU HAVE TO TURN ALL THESE ASSISTENTS OFF, BUT YOU HAVE TO WAIT AFTER EVERY ONE, SO THE WINDOW "IT WAS TURNED OFF" DISAPPEARS
IT IS MADE TO DISTRACT YOU FROM ACTUALLY DRIVING
THEN THERE'S THE CHEAP INTERIOR WITH GLOSSY CHROME EVERYWHERE THAT BLINDS YOU FROM EVERY ANGLE
And when my husband put a notebook in a pocket behind me, all the way I thought he's kicking me with knees, the seats are that thin
It drives like a nice cheap car, but isn't. The only great thing is 5,6l/100km. But in a car for 950.000CZK and in this quality I could get an old Mercedes and save half a million😖
Also the air outlets are very low and will always blow at your hand. That's surprisingly distracting when you drive in a hot day and want to touch the screen and from below there's a wall of cold air to put your hand through. And even at minimum it's still quite strong, but manually the outlet can be only turned off, not just lowered down. It's designed to distract you from driving.
I see there two main issues:
1) savings. Compared to previous generation it is obviously cheaper in almost every aspect.
2) they hired some young people who play a lot with phones but never drove a car to design the infotainment system.
