Interesting study as there is frequently a shortage of trained staff in smaller US cities and towns, in the future AI may be able to help the staff available there do more testing than what they are trained for.

In this multicenter validation study, THCPs (including medical assistants, respiratory therapists, and nurses) with AI assistance achieved LUS (lung ultrasound) images meeting diagnostic standards compared with LUS experts without AI. This technology could extend access to LUS to underserved areas lacking expert personnel.
