I think about this often. Not whether the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son; but how this one addition to the Nicene Creed created a new denomination and then how all the other denominations broke off from Catholicism. I could be wrong, but I don’t think any other denominations broke off from Orthodox.

FWIW I was raised Catholic but I believe the Orthodox version to be true in my mind.

That's correct, Roman Catholics have sadly deviated and innovated. You should attend your closest Orthodox church and expedience a Divine Liturgy.
