I could walk down the street at 3am, get a pack of cigarettes, and packs of teenagers would be walking from open venu to open venu geared to highschoolers. Never was there any threat, no hassle for 50 cents for busfare, nothing. Once I walked away from my luggage for 25 minutes and nobody dared even look at it.
Going to japan was a major redpilling moment in my life.
