lightning is great and all, dont get me wrong, but aside from zapping people on nostr, i still do most of my transactions on chain.

most of those transactions are done during in-person visits in my situation.

for everything else there is lightning or something else.

in a way its all bitcoin imo.

What are you doing that you need on chain transactions to be so fast?

you could always use something temporary like Phoenix wallet as well in order not to have to manage channels but still have self custody.

The sky is the limit, when there is a will there is a way.

But yes I agree, we are still not at the point where a granny can blindly swipe away her btc like locking her iphone.

i dont think getting there is a good idea either...
