Peter Mogila, a man of war turned shepherd of souls, rebuilt the Cathedral of Saint Sophia in Kiev, rescuing it from ruin. He established the Kiev Mohyla College, a beacon of Orthodox learning, and fought tirelessly to defend the Orthodox faith against Latinization.
