Took me years of trying and getting knocked off the wagon by various life stressors. Once I got far enough away that I could smell them and taste them again I was golden. I couldn't understand how I ever started at that point.

Really think about how much you hate smoking during the entire cigarette every time you slip. The nasty taste, the wasted money, the smell, the health risks anything you can think of that is bad about smoking. Reprogram your brain to the negative association instead of thinking about how good it is and reinforcing the bad habit.
