Quick fix solution idea for DMs what if clients send always 100 random DMs once you sent a message?

99 DMs could contain automatically a specific code to signal that this message should be hidden by the client aka does not show up as a message.

Only one message contains the real message.

Yes πŸ‘

Tbh, that concept could apply waaaay beyond just DMs πŸ€”

I guess it's not a perfect solution because it will create a lot of unnecessary data. But for a quick fix might be a viable solution imo.

Wouldn't that create a lot of wasted data transferring? What exactly it's this supposed to fix and how?

Wouldn't every additional DM to the same user make it more obvious who you are communicating with? It would be trivial to see which batches of the 100 + 100 + 100 etc. contain the same npubs. Those npubs are really likely the ones you are DM'ing.
