The reason devs want to add CTV, op cat, and other unessential changes Bitcoin is because they really don't understand the mantra: "if it aint broke, don't fix it"

They will tweak their Linux setup 500 times like a masocist for fun, before just wiping the whole thing and starting again.

We probably shouldn't change bitcoin again anytime soon imo

Gotta look busy somehow… if you got a grant, what else are you going to do… 🤣

"If it works, don't mess with it."

I’m no programmer and I’m all in on bitcoin but I view the scaling problem as a serious concern. If 99.9% of people can never self custody, then im not sure what problem it really solved. Then it will have the same problem that gold does.

With 2-3 sat/byte TX confirming daily, it is evident to me that blockspace demand is pretty low even though user numbers are theoretically growing. I think that current scaling solutions are easily keeping up with demand

that's because the demand is through MSTR and ETFs, which is not self custodial. If this is your vision for Bitcoin, yes you are fine. For those who think Bitcoin is better when self custodied and usually want the world to benefit from it, we need to scale.

There is another mantra: Can we do better?
