Secondly, if I'm a follower or Christ and there's someone who claims he's Christ but that he's not the Son of God, I'll have a hard time believing he is indeed Christ.

He was not crucified but raised up alive and saved and shall return again. He will return as a follower of the last prophet whose coming he foretold and the last prophet foretold the return of Jesus.

There's only one God we should worship but there are many other gods which are not to be worshipped (thou shalt have no other gods before me). He came on earth in human form, that's why people could see him.
Jesus called God Allah because that's the Arabic term for God. The Catholic Maltese and other Arabic speakers do too it but not because they pray to the Muslim god but because that's the term in their languages, not a name. Just as God is not a name but an English word used to refer to the Creator. Other languages use all kinds of other terms.
