maybe the best you can do to prepare for helping her is to be aware of what you're feeling and embracing it all, so you can also offer her this love space.

now that i know more, it’s all a very sad situation. however, i know she’s going to be okay in the end, and so is her kid. they’re not alone, so it’ll be good. i’m ready to be there for them.
