I've seen people get a lot done when on amphetamines, they really sped up. Still not sure it's good to take though.

I think cannabis can be good to help people suffering with pain and cool to hang out with people but it can rob you of your ambition rings true.

I think caffeine is a widely taken drug but the real epidemic is sugar. People taking huge sugar hits in nearly all foods. I've been coffee free for 5 years or so now.

yeah, i drink coffee without sugar for like ... shit... 7 years now. there is enough sugar in the milk, but it is a somewhat less digestible form of sugar... it will still make you fat tho if you drink a lot.

i have to emphasise about the use of drugs to treat cognitive deficiencies though. very often they just cover up an underlying cause that can continue to deteriorate. inflammatory autoimmune caused cognitive deficits happen via inflammation occurring in the brain. many psych problems are caused by this, autism, bipolar, and i think to some extent attention deficit can be caused by this, though also especially with bipolar, fluoride and other kinds of poisoning of the function of the thyroid are strongly implicated. it's no coincidence that a lot of people with bipolar are also fat, because metabolism's primary controller is the thyroid gland. low thyroid function leads to slow metabolism and weight gain. the secondary effects of being fat on social situations also compounds the depression part of the bipolar, in addition to the reduced energy levels.

everyone's biology is a bit different and the proper treatment should not see drugs as a whole treatment strategy. in almost all cases, diet and environmental toxins exposure are related, this is why stuff like fasting, air purifiers, water filters, and organic food all will help build the foundation.

Agree with all that. I would say there are many natural treatments for things though, oils, herbs etc.

the digestive, and immune system is at the center of most psych disorders in my opinion, my own health issues relate to both systems.

The stomach seems to play an important role in health and well being. I know someone treating the stomach to try and reverse autism caused by vaccines and they are making good progress.

yeah, it is definitely working for me too. realising that a comorbidity commonly seen with celiac is the cause of skin rashes on characteristic places (hands, feet, hip, and elbows) made me realise that cutting out sources of gluten (and plant proteins in general) has yielded great results for me.

it has also meant several important changes in my intake: wine and ciders are out, because they mostly have had gluten based fining agents to settle out the cloudiness in the drink (cloudy is better, if you can find it). a lot of foods spiced with flavorings contain substantial amounts of grain proteins in them associated with ingredients in them, maltodextrin is especially bad in terms of its effects on the kidneys and nerves (i get toothache from food with a lot of maltodextrin in it) - but maltodextrin is made from mostly corn starch, which carrries along with it a substantial amount of zein. out of all the carb foods, potato is probably the least toxic to a person with celiac.

i made the mistake yesterday of having some stout beer again, not much, but it was obvious that it caused a rash currently on my right elbow to flare up quite a lot. the less, or ideally never i consume anything made out of grains, the better.

this is also where the whole carnivore thing comes from. paleo is probably closer to the mark for what a human diet should be. some amounts of leaves and fruits and roots are ok, but seeds are out and you have to be careful with a lot of herbs, they have oils and proteins in them that can be quite problematic. also, spices, you need to be very careful with them because they can exacerbate inflammation in the intestines.

It is shocking how so many farms are growing all these toxic grains for people to eat but they are only suitable for animals.

I think a lot (not all) of the sensitivity is created by vaccines which have mostly permanently damaged people. The only way around this is like you are doing, abstention from inflammation triggers and also some herbal treatments.

Lavender 🪻 oil is great for skin inflammations and I use all the time. Tea tree oil for infections. I am currently experimenting with green mandarin oil in my water for digestive help.

i would just add "only suitable for animals" does not include cows, sheep, goats and horses.

the reason being that the PUFAs (polyunsaturated fatty acids) contaminate and taint the fats in the animal and this is another related issue that has come up a lot in the last 20 years since feeding grains to ruminants has been on the rise.

it's not just the proteins in the seeds that is a problem, but they are the more visible problem because they trigger the immune system to react, as it reacts to proteins and peptides. the oils also cause problems with the liver. seed oils are also toxic to humans. these kinds of oils are not present in any kind of plant that can have oil extracted without heat or solvents, ie coconut and olive.

the human diet did not have any of these things in them in any great quantity until the inception of industrial extraction of plant especially seed oils. our liver does not tolerate them well and their effect on all fat-using organs is harmful. this only increases the damage of other causes as well. soy protein, in particular, was never consumed outside of the context of being boiled or fermented as in miso and tofu until chemical processing of food became common. there is no such thing as a plant protein that the human body is adapted to.

i hear sometimes people who have been steeped in or surrounded by people steeped in the propaganda of veganism, who think that plant proteins are ok.

plant. proteins. are. not. ok.

not for us, and not for our food (ruminants). and this extends also to other kinds of meats as well, farmed fish are often fed on this poison and the flesh of these animals carries that into our body as well.

i can see it in my cat's reaction to a lot of things sold to feed to cats. many cat food products include soy protein, or even have straight up textured vegetable protein in them. i have witnessed it with several cats, they don't like soy, at all, at all. they often will respond by only licking off the gravy, which is the only part of the product that is actually made from animals.

oh, and you shouldn't be feeding seeds to fowl either, chickens, ducks or turkey. all of these birds main diet is based on insects, worms and soft green leaves. it poisons their eggs as well as their flesh. you can even smell it is different.

yes there is some exceptions. pigeons are seed eaters. i think also quails.

if the animal eats seeds, in the wild, then ok, you can feed them seeds, but otherwise, you are going to see the meat (and eggs) produced by the animal are toxic to humans.

This may be why I don't like quail eggs

I haven't researched so deep, but it certainly makes sense that grains are not good full stop.

I was vegan/vegetarian for a few years and it was not good for my health. Overweight, inflamed , low energy, not feeling great - I didn't get flu or colds though.

My number #1 is sleep. I am completely a different person with 8+ hours of sleep. I can track it using lichess puzzles. It gives you an elo score against the puzzles. I fall in a 250 point range depending on how I have been sleeping.

#2 is how much I am eating. Staying slightly hungry is best, but hard to do.

oh yeah, sleep is really important for cognitive performance. i discovered this in detail when i had access to amphetamine while i was working on code. i found that if i restricted my use of the amphetamine so that i got a good 8 hours i was consistently productive. if not, by the next day (after not sleeping) i'd estimate i was at 25% of my capacity. i tried to explain this to my friend, but he tended to snarf and snarf and snarf until he started displaying tourettes symptoms and this weird, psychotic dark streak that was not in his normal repertoire. he never listened to me, but i was always happy when there was some amphetamine in the lab, i did my best work during those times.
