Nostr Japanese users read "grass" as "bamboo". *This culture started when the amethyst application added "bamboo" when translating. Japanese users say "bamboo" when expressing "laugh" in written expressions.

was that a mistake?? what is your word for “laugh” that was being translated to “bamboo”?

Add a "w" at the end of a sentence to express laughter in writing. Some people say this is "grass" because of the grass-like expression. Bamboo" was also often added to the end of sentences in the same way in the amethyst application. The reason is a mystery. But Japanese users started to express "grass" as "bamboo" for fun. Funny enough, I also use "bamboo" to express laughter.

it sounds like japanese slang might be just as bad as english wwwwww 竹
