bitcoin “governance” will always be messy and chaotic because a formalized governance process is a security hole

Decentralisation by definition

yes

third party trust = security hole

A congress of cats.

Indeed mate and nothing has actually happened yet! 👀

Natural order always comes after chaos

open discussion and method of consensus is a key 👍

open discussion is most important

open-source discussion

Every organization that functions like a pyramid is always eventually infiltrated by those who want to destroy it, or use it for their evil objectives.

Decentralized organizations and governance are better.

A free market of ideas is best. I like the idea of more implementations of node software. I'm also game for having the conversations we can here on Nostr. Fuck the rest.

agreed

Decentralization is like that! It's right that it's like that. And it will be like this forever 🧡

So let's just enjoy it.

there is no governance in Bitcoin, but there is reverence, which is a form of post-humous governance, in that one remembers the essence and spirit of Satoshi and leads the way for a future that even he could not fully imagine.

you don't have to follow.

In other words there is no governance.

It's a kind of "same goal" contract between all actors (miners, nodes, devs and even users).

Because they all have to maintain the blockchain working anyway.

Altogether, even if they don't agree.

Or is it a feature?

A fixed set of rules will be gamed

Even rabbits and other prey animals dart left and right in a pattern approaching randomness when escaping. Nature knows.

Completely agree

third parties (and formalized governance processes) are security holes

Yes 100% 💎✨🚀👌✌️⭐️

Self aware well informed nodes owner (should) have the last word on Bitcoin l governance. That's way nodes are the real shareholders.

decentralized governance is just normal for a decentralized network.

True. Also, Peter Todd seems like a fuckwit

Peter Todd doesn't matter

There is something lyrical about it!

Enjoy the mess
