Yes, and no. I want the best people at any age.

The founding fathers of the US were very young and phenomenal. Does that mean that the average young people are smarter and better?

Look around you and answer that question for yourself.

How many young people or old people have I ever met who have the same intellectual and philosophical quality of Thomas Jefferson?

Zero.

Does wisdom come with age? No, aging is inevitable wisdom is optional.

I don’t care the age I care about the quality of person.

Have you seen recent video of Joe Biden, Dianne Fienstiene, and Mitch McConnell?

Some of the most successful business/firms have mandatory retirement ages.

This is becoming the norm, political power is a helluva drug.

I dislike all of those people, not because they’re old. I also take issue with their clear mental disability. If they were actually intelligent and mentally capable and good people, I wouldn’t have a problem with them.

Yes, I understand That age is a decent indicator for mental capability, and that we use that as a safeguard in other areas like airline pilots.

So, for practical reasons, an age limit makes sense. But I am speaking philosophically from the heart.

So yes, we need term limits, but in a better world, we wouldn’t need them

Age limits I mean but term limits as well
