Yes. I have gotten more value from gaming than from public schooling. We only had LANs and no internet in the early days. Online gaming is not as condusive to learning networking and effing around to find out. Everything is silver plattery spoon fed and wokish nowadays.

If a child has discovered a love for books and reading and stimulated a natural curiousity for knowledge then gaming can be a healthy distraction and even useful skillset. I learned a lot and had loads of fun.

My mother hated my computer.

I hated school more. Loved learning though.

I would not want to navigate gaming in a woke online world as a kid, but thankfully our generation of parents are relatively web wise.

Old games are just as fun as they were in the 90's and 00's
