I certainly didn't think so, kept a decent pace I thought.

At any rate, I wouldn’t lean too heavily on another’s opinion of a book. Best to find out for yourself.

Yeah that's solid advice. I really surprised myself reading Memoirs of a Geisha . I was reading parts of it so that I could chat up a girl who liked it , and ended up reading the entire thing . I did the same thing with Wuthering Heights.

My experience with classics is about 50%... Some are amazing, but some are just painful. I won't quit a book 99% of the time, so I try to be selective and give myself a good chance by knowing ahead of time.

Never force a book. Too many others to choose from.
