I like to eat steak multiple times a week and last i checked they dont serve that in jail. Plus, i dont have the mentality for that. I would constantly be worried lolcry.
I don't think tax evasion carries the death penalty but I have read a book about prisoners on Texas Death Row, they can request a final meal. Many request a steak, some cheeseburgers, others things more exotic. What really struck me, on reading it, was that some prisoners requested no special meal. They simply wanted to eat whatever the other prisoners had on the menu for that particular day, I found that very noble and humbling when i read it.
I think Texas quit granting final meal requests in 2012-ish 🧐 that does seem like a very noble and humble choice
