If you are finding it difficult to connect your Primal wallet with you Nostr ID then try using Wallet of Satoshi. Many people are complaining about the Primal wallet not sending activation code (I don't know what's thee issue).

Yes I was having the issue with the activation code…I have since been able to set up my primal wallet…I’m just not sure how to now connect it to nostr
For me, I used Blink.sv as my wallet. Then edited my profile from Primal, put my LN address pallabjd@blink.sv (provided by Blink) into my profile. That's it.
