Hopefully you have parental leave so you can catch on sleep with a nap during the daytime.
For us the key was:
- consistent bedtime routine
- short breastfeeding when waking up at night
- white noise (low volume radio static)
- lots of activities when awake, baby swimming almost always resulted in a good night's sleep
