Is there a good guide available on how people can use Monero on a daily basis? such as the best mobile and PC wallets to use and other important instructions.

👀 would also enjoy learning some of the same best practices.
Have realized it's something I need to write, I don't think there really is a holistic guide!
monero.how has some really good content but not sure how fresh it is.
Beauty of Monero is wallet choice isn't vital from a privacy perspective, but my tl;Dr of recommendations is:
Mobile: Monero.com or Stack Duo wallets
Desktop: featherwallet.org or getmonero.org "GUI" wallet
Node: https://sethforprivacy.com/guides/run-a-monero-node/
Explorer: https://localmonero.co/blocks
Will work on writing something up this week on the topic, as well as on my personal approach to Nostr 🙂
My understanding of it is it's pretty difficult to use with a hardware wallet, and transactions are slow but extremely secure and anonymous. I don't know what the real value proposition is besides privacy for the extremely paranoid. However, I'd like to get some because if Bitcoin goes POS, then monero becomes the "real" digital money.
I think it depends on the use case. It's like a utility, good to have, especially when governments and organizations are constantly trying to collect information about individuals. Having the option for maximum privacy is important & trust me my friend some places and occupations are very rough.
Thanks, I was ignorant. I think lightning is getting *close* to easy-to-use, but I'm still surprised at how slow development is. Still needs easier on-ramps, custom addresses (and, related, ability to zap custom amounts). My favorite thing about nostr is the zapping. Lightning wallets generally still have that counterintuitive invoicing paradigm. if monero allows you to just send someone any amount you want, without receiving an invoice, then it's ahead of lightning in my book.
