> Baker was recommending a story condemning “tribalism,” when what we are really seeing here is the vitriol of an authoritarian movement and the increasing condemnation from those who are appalled by it

Yeah, nah. We're seeing two brands of authoritianism duking it out for control of an Empire in its post-Death Star decline, and two tribes of partisans, each only recognising the danger of one of them. True, only one of them has full control of a political party. So far...

Sanders, as usual, is bang on. Like Michael Moore, he reminds us that Agent Orange and the GoP can only make hay out of white working class anger, for as long as Democrats refuse to see its legitimate *economic* causes, and make meaningful changes to address them.

Sanders endorses re-electing Biden. Given Biden's enacted economic policy (see my recent link on #Bidenomics), this is the only sensible thing for a moderate social democrat in his position to do.

We can only hope the Democrat apparatchiks reward this loyalty in 2028. By giving Sanders - or a younger candidate he endorses - a shot at replacing the outgoing Biden. Thus keeping the GoP from hauling the US back into the black hole of Reagenomics that it's only just starting to climb out of.
