The whole album is great but this final track is killer stuff - part Floyd, part Hawkwind and nearly every movement is sensational.

Dope 👌
Dare I ask........ is Hawkwind considered prog? 👀👀👀 I can just imagine you raging at my questions whilst a koala steals from your bins.
Everything is fucking prog lol
Hawkwind are spacerock - one of the few bands to create a genre of their own.
You're absolutely right though - it's all basically prog.
You know. I've never (knowingly) listened to Genesis 👀
Is there a nostr:npub1p3q90x8quww274xjkggc0xap665k2yymzwyl54w6tweqmktt5ksqfv9t86 guide to this?
No, sorry. I listened to a couple of early albums and they didn't make much of an impression on me to be honest. I tend to prefer the weirder shit.
You must have heard 80s Genesis though. "Invisible Touch" and all that?
Listening now and it's not ringing any bells.
It just occured to me cos I was listening to a Hammill solo album and I think they get mentioned, maybe one of them produced it or something along those lines. And they always come up in lists. I just sort of assumed they were naff. Naffrock lol. I probably do need a bit of weirdness too tbh. Although I think I had a pretty alright time with some of the Yes stuff Ive heard.
They could be naff - I really don't remember, to be honest. Their 80s pop shit was fucking awful though and, having grown up in the 80s when stale boomer rock was at its height, there's probably just no way I'm ever going to listen to a band with Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins in it.
