How come Midjourney is so much better?
Discussion
I have Macbook pro Intel 64 bit. Too slow?
I was checking out some one click Stable diffusion apps for Mac OS and found https://diffusionbee.com for Mac OS. Not sure if that is compatible with CivitAI models?
I'm leaning towards wanting to run by myself, CivitAI style. That sounds the most compelling, not having to rely on a 3rd party.
1 - DiffusionBee is compatible with all Civitai models and all Huggingface models.

2 - DiffusionBee is excellent software. You can use it offline, it comes with great features. I am surprised that this software is free.

3 - No! A normal Intel CPU is to slow. You need the 16 NPUs (Neural Processing Unit) inside the Apple M1 or M2. I am sorry you really have the wrong hardware.
DiffusionBee community:
Yeah diffusionbee is nice, but it cant open all models on civitai.
I could generate some art with my slow computer but it took a few minutes and well selected prompts to get high quality, not something that looks like shit.
If you write simple prompts it looks like shit. But i guess the online generators has alot of hidden prompts that you can't see.
1 - they use only premium high quality photography for training their AI. While others use very bad quality like:

Bad photography, illustrations, 3D = Bad AI.
2 - they continually correcting any errors for better results. It is all built-in. Stable Diffusion users are using external Textual Inversion (952 helpers) to compensate that.

I see that makes sense. You have to load these helpers into your stable diffusion? My one click installer can't do that. It can just load models.
So it might be worth it to pay for midjourney then unless you want to go very technical?
Yes - your AI software must support to load these helpers (Textual Inversion).
Yes - Midjourney users donβt need that tech understanding. Just for fun it's too expensive. But if you want to become an Prompt Engineering professional Midjourney is a good choice.
Or create here high quality AI images for free with one-two clicks:

Yes it may actually help me with generating assets for work so its good to learn. For now I just have Diffusionbee and some custom models. Building up my personal prompt library and things are looking quite good already. You comr a long way with a good custom model, some prompts that boost the quality and negative prompts that gets rid of the junk and errors.
