I was working at the Comdex computer and IT trade show in Vancouver in about 1993, registering guests. Suddenly I have this man standing at my kiosk. He was so humble and had no airs of someone who, at the time, was pretty much at the apex of his acting and comedy career. He just came across as a genuine, kind soul.
