Read an interesting thesis re the war in Ukraine and why the EU is resisting a settlement so hard: They are using the seized Russian assets (hundreds of billions) as collateral already. If the war ends, and Russia gets them back, the EU collapses.
Don’t know if it’s true, but it explains a lot.
It's very plausible. The EU might not survive this war, in one way or another...
