I love Minibits in general, but I've had many struggles zapping. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts; sometimes it doesn't work at all, even when I know the zappee has a wallet connected...
Any suggestions?

I'm just using their default one, but I think you're probably just having the typical alpha/beta software problems. It hasn't been perfect for me either, but I knew it was under heavy development going in. When it does work (it mostly has been), it works really well.
