Nostr and the public/private key pair technology could be considered as being practice training wheels for the eventual adoption of private key management in the Bitcoin space.

The new nostr user can make many mistakes in nostr without the dread of losing one's life savings (or a hundred fiat credits 🙄) and bitcoin "evangelists" can preach the pubkey gospel without recriminations of fraudulent enticement into the bitcoin space for those not ready or willing to learn bitcoin...

Nostr is the great equalizer...
