What? Inventing on it so it becomes a barrier to the soviet union? Germany has been treated nicely despite what they have done.

I meant at the beginning: Nurimberg Tribunal, partition, demilitarization and denazification policy.
Yeah. But i wanted to tell that. Germany as a state didn't really pay. It was supported instead
It could have gone worse (Morgenthu plan), it could have gone better (Finland outcome).
Germany was sliced in half for 40 years, lost any independence, and became the main battlefield for a possible nuclear war between the USA and the USSR.
Western Germans might not notice it, but they have lived most of their lives in a precarious golden cage, ready to be burned to the ground. As for the Eastern Germans... well, let's just say they experienced many involuntary births and had very little freedom of movement and speak.
Yes they had that. They were never really indrpendent, like Japan. But the european union, the €, etc, have been made to help them be the barrier to the east (Russia), etc.
I don't think that eastern Germans are very happy with the situation now also. I mean they tasted exploitation. Not the progress some people imagined. The elections results show it clearly.
Completely agree. Prussians have been submissed before and after the reunification.
