In light of recent events with whats going on over on Twitter and this being my 1 month anniversary to the day of being a #nostrich on #nostr, I just wanted to give my sincerest thanks and gratitude to all the devs who work tirelessly developing clients and expanding the functionality of the Nostr protocol and to the community of #plebs who make up the Nostr community. All you guys and gals are awesome!

I know a lot of the devs who develop open source software it's often a thankless pursuit that you do on your own free time on top of a holding down a day job and often cuts into family and fun time. Yet day after day you grind out code voluntarily as you believe in the ethos of what Nostr can and does represent. A decentralized, extensible, trustless, censorship-resistant protocol/ecosystem that values freedom and truth. For that again I give you my thanks for building this amazing corner of the internet.

I also would like to thank my fellow #plebs and #nostriches. You are the heart of the protocol. You are the reason that keeps myself and others coming back day after day. Like others out there on the #plebchain, I find myself spending the majority of my internet time on here now. Nowhere else will you find so many friendly and intelligent people all in one place. Unlike elsewhere where your worth is defined by a vane follow and follower ratio, over here none of that matters. Everyone is accessible no matter their follower count. What matters is what you say. If someone finds value they will react no matter how big or small their account is.

I hope the friendly, accessible, chill, pay it forward culture on Nostr continues well on in the future as more people are on-boarded. But let this note stand as a testament of what we have created together for future users to uphold and to view as a historical marker as the protocol matures, of the humble beginnings of wanting something better in a world with a lot of junk and false promises.

Just as #Bitcoin represents financial freedom in a increasingly tyrannical world, I hope Nostr will be the life raft for social freedom.
