The overly religious shit in #Bitcoin has always bothered me. Granted I think there are parallel, connections, and avenues for broader and/or mutual illumination and insight between Bitcoin and religion (as well as math and all of the science), being that these are deeply felt human pursuits towards truth and understanding.

It's gotten to be a bit much. Not sure where this came from, but I never noticed this strange cult-like behavior until just the past couple years.
I think lockdown fucked everyone up.
Technology is always cult-like, going all the way back to metallurgy (and alchemy), shipbuilding, and masonry. We just have (should have) the good sense from historical frame of reference to not make our thing a cult. But I guess this is a human thing also, so very hard to break or escape - “cult” is the root of “culture” for a reason…
