don't get how it works & i am not interested in crypto so i hope i can still continue to use #nostr without it getting too complex, but i am more active on Bluesky and Twitter anyways.

Bitcoin is a way to be able to pay if needed. But you can live without. It's just that devs were bitcoin dev too 😉 I do participate to #zapathon sometime.. a way to get and send satoshis across the network.
