and so the process begins to compile a newer version of Bitcoin Core. This step takes a while on my 14 year old laptop 😂
For those who run Bitcoin Core, version 28.0 was recently released.

And with this release means that version 25.x is now end of life and will receive any more security fixes (https://bitcoincore.org/en/lifecycle/#schedule). Update your node if you think it is necessary.

Some crypto enthusiasts have gotten the notion that they'll decruft the Satoshi codebase. This is where they polish the turd.
Compiling a newer version of Bitcoin Core took 2 hours and I'm back in action. It is times like this I wish my node was running on a faster computer but I'm too cheap to replace it 😂
