I have an increasingly bad feeling about supporting nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 by supporting nostr

The defense: he's not American, it's not his tax dollars bombing Gaza or shooting Renee Good, he's just neutral / not connected.

The problem: anyone that posts on English-speaking social media should really be saying more by now.

It seems like time to start considering how to split nostr away from fiatjaf and his cluster, while still respecting his contributions.

People will probably never accept nostr unless fiatjaf fundamentally changes, or there's a new, separate network based on nostr but with a new name

Obviously also without the connections to jack dorsey

Your so retarded

You're projecting and can't spell "you're"

Not surprising though, retardation is a requirement to be a Nazi

You can't even figure out how to use emoji reactions on nostr

The the idea matters

Yeah, although nostr didn't come with any important new inventions, it just popularized keypairs as decentralized network logins which existed before with crypto wallets and even in a social media context with secure scuttlebutt

I still personally feel like nostr should be recognized as the basis of what comes next because honestly secure scuttlebutt did not make such a name for itself

Nostr is beautifully decentralised.

People can, and should, spin up their own relays for their own friends, while remaining fully compatible with Nostr.

No they shouldn't, but they should join nostr and help develop P2P nostr apps that don't need relay servers.

But they aren't doing that either. They just keep calling fiatjaf and jack Nazis while fiatjaf and jack act like maybe it's true.

So yeah, maybe a nostr-based thing has to be separate from the original nostr network before it will take off.

Step 1: setup own relay

Step 2: fork Amethyst et al, to use own relay, but remain otherwise the same

Step 3: ???

Step 4: Revolution!

The missing step 3: also replace the npub/nsec format with something else, while maybe keeping hex keys the same because echo chamber lovers are too dumb to notice

Also, I used Secure Scuttlebutt for years before I found Nostr.

It is all the things you ask for, including peer-to-peer and hard-left community.

Performance suuuucks if you have more than 100 or so follows, be warned.

I've recognised a lot of current- and ex-Butts on Nostr

Maybe I should use it more too
