Can you imagine how difficult it will be as the non-techies start learning self-custody? This IS the end game. Self-ID... The rights circus is going to be dystopian! I remember the buzz during the btc/pizza days... Bitcoin was like those fleeting movements you see in your peripheral vision... Intermittently there, but just out of sight... I consider myself to be reasonably intelligent... I got in and out at 750😭... Struggled for decades trying to learn self-custody with paper wallets which seemed basic/safe enough for me... But then the seed phrases came out and no paper wallet needed these, so cognitive dissonance set in... I then doubled down on paper wallets with the bitaddressorg generator. Then provenance started gnawing at my mind... So then i tried wallet apps on a cheap phone with cheap plan which ended with simjacking. Then I tried learning how to use the bitcoin machines and that was a mild success minus the KYC!... Well fiat dollars came out when I needed them, but those machines, the 2-way Bitcoin ATMs, are rare birds... It seemed like only buy, buy, buy machines were everywhere... The assymetry of 1-way to 2-way BTC atms started to gnaw at me... Then coinbase doxxed me... Aside from all my poor decisions, I still believe in the potential of bitcoin... Here's hoping it won't be co-opted by Fiat. Maybe that was the plan. A sort of collar for the dollar😁?... But attack dogs CAN lose their collars AND their leashes... Just thinking out loud...
