I wrote this back in 2003. In the jurisdiction I was in, Queensland, there was a law on the texts forbidding instructions on production of "dangerous drugs".

It was very much augmented by my concurrent research into drug synthesis chemistry in my activities on The Hive forum back then. It includes instructions for drying the naptha/hexane, and the use of recrystallisation to purify it.

I did not ever delve deep into it, the shit scares me. But I mastered producing it. The thing that drove me so mad as to do this was that dirty extractions produced a product that was awkward to work with, and had a very wide boiling temperature, and traces of sodium hydroxide causes the ring closure on the DMT to form a particularly nasty betacarboline which causes me asthma, and prevents me from getting a "breakthrough" dose.

And I couldn't take ayahuasca because I was drinking alcohol and consuming caffeine, back then, and up until only weeks ago, and the monoamine oxidase inhibitor in banesteriopsis caapi and syrian rue cause hypertension in combination with aged proteins and caffeine, one time I took the risk back then, and omg, 6 hours of the most hellish headache I have had, short of the one I got one time after way too much sweet red wine.
