I think some "deep" orbit was closer to 600 miles, but close enough for 1776 sats. nobody else cares.
Still a few hundred miles is surprisingly close to earth compared to what man did over 50 years ago huh?

I know what you mean. That photo from the moon of the earth rising is just an amazing picture.. And to think the whole thing was done on a sound stage in North Hollywood is really amazing. They musta had alien technology or something!!! :)
