Nasrallah believed in achieving a One State Democratic Solution in which all people, Jews, Muslims, Christians and others would share the land and exercise equal rights, freedom and justice for all.
His aim was to protect both the people of Lebanon and Palestine from the expansionist, apartheid colonialism of Zionism.
He remains the only leader in the Muslim world to have ever defeated Israel and forced them to withdraw from their illegal occupation of Lebanon.
Whatever else you may think of him, he personified the expression "it is better to die standing than to live on your knees".
