We’ll see, but I think the difference in the people like me (and many others) who voted for Trump, if he capitulates he’ll lose the support totally. IMO it wasn’t a cult, just a policy/common sense vote. Very few are buying the Zuckerberg pivot, for example. No one has forgotten.

I'm not sure, I've seen a lot of split sentiment about Zuck, hard to quantify it for me. It's like doctors who first went along with everything and then years later backtracked and attempt to become leaders of the opposition to some degree. I think they shouldnt be demonized in perpetuity, but at the same time they shouldn't be elevated to any sort of 'leadership' positions in the space given their inability to identity an obvious lie early on.

Trump has capitulated on many things that I deem unforgivable, but I do understand people giving the him the benefit since there is more nuance (and bullshit) than we are willing to admit to. I think it's the people who don't evangelise him, such as yourself, who are less likely to be fooled if he changes his stance on some key issues in the future.

yeah, I already fell for Obama's bullshit in 2008, did not vote in 2012. Zero interest in Trump the person, just the policies.
