Over the last couple decades, DNA analysis has proved that Ashkenazi Jews are about 60% Semitic, 40% European, with Sephardic Jews also mixed with Europeans but to a lesser extent. Culture and imaginary religions aside, I can see how this might cause them to be incompatible with relatively pure Semites. They sure as Hell are incompatible with us!
As for Israel being their historical homeland, I am not sure about that -- after all, they boast in their very own filthy book about how they stole it from the prior inhabitants in the most cruel and bloody way imaginable.
