Gore or more jumpy?
Psychological horror hits the hardest imo, but I’m all ears if you have a favourite in those genres 🔪🩸
I agree ✨ I'm not a gore fan, can't look half of the time so couldn't suggested 🫠😂 psychological horror I'd say The Witch (2015) and Don't look now (1973). There's also The lighthouse (2019) which I've heard great things about but never watched it myself tbh.
The Witch is the perfect horror movie imo. I loved it. I ended up watching “Lake Mungo” last night. Eerie Australian ghost movie. Was a vibe alone in the woods 👻
talk to me, late night w the devil (great movie), VERONICA!! (amazing if you’re willing to read captions), smile, the ritual
Zoé coming in clutch with the short list. Appreciate you. The Ritual is one of my favs, but less familiar with the others. I’ll take a look!
hahah you’re welcome. i love getting scared :p let me know which one you watch
I was late to seeing the nostr responses. A friend recommend I watch “Lake Mungo”. It’s an eerie ghost movie about a 16yo girl who drowned in Australia (not based on a true story). It wasn’t scary as much as it was disturbing. Slept like a baby after 😅
lol interesting, i’ll have to check it out haha
I’m a bit old school so “The Omen” with Gregory Peck kinda got to me as a kid. Haven’t seen it recently so maybe not so good now? Other movies I saw as a child (far too young in hindsight) were “The Hills Have Eyes” (1977) although there is a 2006 remake now… and this film linked below (very Italian 80s and rather niche by today’s standards):
Haven’t seen The Omen but I have heard friends recommend it. A good movie is a good movie. Regardless of its age. Although, with modern horror - I think we’re all a little more desensitized haha. I’ll take a peak! Thanks 🫡
It's a wonderful world life
